Owen David Architecture offer a range of services that cover all aspects of residential design from initial planning through to the finished project.
Owen is a qualified and registered architect (#12016 NSW) specialising in residential design. In his role as architect, Owen acts as your single point of contact, coordinating and overseeing project stages from initial feasibility, site assessment and budget review, through to concept design, detail design, authority approvals, consultant engagement, construction documentation, builder selection, construction supervision and beyond.
Owen is an experienced and creative designer, capable of taking his talents into the detail of interiors, kitchens, joinery, fittings & finishes. His creative style in this area has evolved in recent years into a distinctive blend of mid-century aesthetic with colourful modern materials, textural finishes and clean detailing.
For small projects or minor renovations, Owen utilises his industry network to engage tradespeople and coordinate works. Project management involves tasks such as obtaining quotes; material orders; coordinating, directing, and overseeing tradespeople; site inspections; scheduling and monitoring costs.
As well as an architect, Owen is a talented woodworker, making everything from picture frames to wooden boats. Offering unique custom features for both project clients and on a commission basis. He utilises Australian hardwoods salvaged from demolition sites and construction waste. Frames, mirrors, joinery, balustrades, towel rails and any other items to suit your specific project, space and style.
While Owen is not a ‘landscape architect’, who can help with planting and species selection, his role as architect means designing space beyond the building itself. All ODA projects include a threshold of external space for occupants to engage with the site, environment and climate, an element Owen considers essential to good Australian architecture.
